Business Electronics & Cell Phone Drop-Off in Phoenix, AZ
Fewer than 10 devices? Phoenix-metro businesses, schools, clinics and nonprofits can bring old cell phones, laptops, monitors, loose hard drives and network gear to our Scottsdale processing facility by appointment — with the same NAID AAA certified data destruction and serialized Certificate of Destruction we issue on a full truckload.
Business, school and nonprofit drop-offs only. We do not accept residential or in-home electronics, and we cannot take household drop-offs even in small quantities.
Where can I drop off old cell phones near Phoenix?
If the phones came out of a business — a retired corporate plan, a warehouse full of old scanners, a front desk that just swapped handsets — bring them to us in Scottsdale. Old cell phones are the single most common small-quantity item we take, and they are also the riskiest to leave in a drawer: a factory reset does not reliably clear a device, and a lost handset with saved credentials or patient contact data is a reportable event. We erase or physically destroy the storage in every phone we accept, refurbish the ones that still hold a charge for Phoenix-area students, and recover gold, copper and rare-earth content from the rest through audited R2v3 downstream processors. Drop-offs are by appointment only so a technician is at the counter to count and log your devices instead of taking a bag over the desk.
What we accept at a business drop-off
| Device | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cell phones, smartphones and tablets | Accepted | Company-plan handsets and tablets. Storage is cryptographically erased or physically destroyed; working units are refurbished for Phoenix-area students. |
| Laptops, desktops, all-in-ones and thin clients | Accepted — 1 to 9 units | Ten or more devices, or one pallet, qualifies for a free scheduled pickup at your own facility instead. |
| Hard drives, SSDs, flash drives, SD cards and LTO tape | Accepted | Wiped to NIST 800-88 or shredded under our NAID AAA certified process and reported by serial number. |
| LCD monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice and cabling | Accepted | Flat-panel displays only. Broken screens are fine; CRT tubes are not. |
| Servers, switches, firewalls, access points, VoIP handsets | Accepted | Rack-mount gear beyond about one pallet routes to a scheduled pickup so we can palletize on site. |
| Batteries built into IT gear (small UPS, sealed lead-acid, intact lithium) | Accepted — packed separately | Tape the terminals and keep cells in a separate box. Call first for swollen, damaged or leaking lithium batteries. |
| CRT televisions and CRT monitors | Not accepted | Leaded glass is outside our drop-off scope; ask us for a compliant downstream option. |
| Appliances, microwaves, vacuums, light bulbs, smoke detectors | Not accepted | Not IT equipment and not covered by our R2v3 processing scope. |
| Residential or household electronics of any kind | Not accepted | Business, school and nonprofit drop-offs only — no residential or in-home electronics, even in small quantities. |
